Visit Dresden's Church of Our Lady in Germany Hi! I'm Naomi and I'm very excited to show you the world's greatest attractions. The exquisite Dresden’s Church of our Lady is an evangelical church in Germany. Built on the site of a Roman Catholic Church, the original Baroque structure was erected in the 18th century. It is a true masterpiece with several unique and important elements adorning it. Among which is the momentous Martin Luther statue. The Church was near completely ravaged in the Second World War and remained dormant in ruins for about 40 years. Its dismantled grounds bore a symbolic connotation in history when thousands gathered here to support the 1980s Peace Movement prevalent in Nice, Germany. 18th century construction techniques, original stones and designs were referred to an order to reproduce the original structure which today graces the Dresden City. Thank you for watching our travel video series. See you next time.
