StyleCaster interviews Tibi fashion designer and founder Amy Smilovic about her company and her favorite styles.

I always knew I wanted my own company and I always knew I want it to be something creative. When I was in 7th grade, I had a business making and selling belts and so I thought hair clips, and then I made sweatshirts. So, I was always was doing things and I don’t think I necessarily thought of it. It's just fashion, but more just about having my own company. Ultimately, our girls always the 70s girl I love, it's like my flat-chested beauty girls like Ally McGraw, Farah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Loren Hutton. We definitely describe her somewhere who when she walks into a party she's definitely getting into the room to be noticed and she dresses to have fun. She doesn’t look at shopping as a chore. She really looks forward to it. She loves getting new things and she loves color and she really just likes being noticed. My thing is to really figure out whether the ten things that identify style wise, is the MS cuff, is it the Parafraid or Levis. Is it like a Vintage white lace top you have then everything you shop for should always complement those items that if you're friend saw you, they’d be like, “Oh, my God, you're wearing that again.” But you're wearing it and like a totally new updated, fresh way that makes you feel comfortable in your own skin.
