Veronica: The major hairstyle trend this season is braids. Hi! I’m Veronica with watchmojo.com and today, we’re looking at how to recreate some runway looks. Beatrix Popper: The three looks that we are going to create today, the first one is going to be a design for a very hard day. When you’re at work, you just want to get it off from your shoulder or from your neck. The second look will be a little bit more romantic. You want to look a little bit better but you don’t want to make it too fancy. You can just have it with a summer little dress and even flip-flops. And the third look is going to be a bit more glamorous, for an evening or even for a bar. So, this is the simple braid. I divided the front part into three little pieces and then each section when I come ahead; I take a little piece more with me. It’s sort of like the French braid. This way, I can come backwards a little bit. It’s excellent to hide grown out bangs then it just would be in your face, so it bothers you too much. And then after, you can just twist it and create maybe like a little fake half updo if you like. So for Jessica, we created an easy yet fancier look. We had her bangs braided in to the back to keep it off from the face and after that, we just twisted the hair from both sides, created a little bump and clipped it. So, let’s say you got a last minute phone call that you have to go out and you absolutely don’t have time to wash your hair, so you go romantic. We do a little bit of a separation in the front. We’re going to start just with a very, very thin line and make a braid right on the roots. This is still sort of like French but you see from here on, it’s a regular braid. Just clip it on the end and in this, so you don’t have to use elastic and it looks cuter. If you have another five minutes, you can do just a couple of curls on the end. And you can take big chunks because you don’t really want to have it curly, you just want smooth at the ends. So here it is, Adelina’s romantic look when you only have a few minutes to put yourself together, yet it creates like a little bit of a difference. So for Rachel, we’re going to do something fancier. Here we’re going to leave the bangs a little bit smoother. So, we’re going to start from a little bit lower. I just like to show you that with the same simple technique, you can do very different looks. Every updo is like building a house; you have to give something to build on. I choose this, another braid perhaps. It’s okay when its loosen at the back because you don’t want to make this very, very rigid. Another interesting way I find like to finish up updos, use the leftover pieces, you want to twist them in. If you want to make it even more romantic, you can just use the little clips and the interesting way that from the tension, what you put it on the hair, it creates little design by itself, which I have to be honest with you, very much enjoy. Now, we can use the last two pieces we had from earlier just to decorate. So for Rachel, we created with the same easy, simple method, a nicer and fancier look. We used her bangs to braid it in to the side. When you start in the front, you always have to make sure that it suits the face structure, how you’re going to separate the bangs. Then just very slight, we lift it up the top part of her hair, so it gives a little bit of a volume and everything else we just put together in the back and we used these little clips to decorate. It makes it everyday. It’s still fancy.
