Host: The loss of such a spirits has been felt everywhere. Alexander McQueen was found dead at his London home on February 11th following an apparent suicide, and when news broke of his death, Hollywood took to their Tweeter pages to express their grief and share their emotions. Outside his boutiques in London, New York, and Los Angeles, fans paid their respects by laying flowers and lighting candles. Known for his controversial gothic chic and jaw dropping detail, McQueen was named British designer of the year 4 times and designer of the year in the U.S once. His label had been making headway stateside. McQueen was one of the most popular designers with Hollywood’s elite, stars often seen browsing his boutiques. He dressed fashion royalty like Lady Gaga who remembered her departed friend by posting this photo. Sarah Jessica Parker seen here on 2006 called him an original that there was nobody like him and never will be again. And when he hosted a show, it was the hottest ticket in town. He touched the world with his inspiring creations and became symbol of brilliant imagination. Through his creations, his legacy will always live.
