Swapping Cyclist Gear at the 2006 VeloSwap Part 2/2 Male: Here we have the annual endow Barbie awards. This is Barbie endowing over a tree route into a rock and this award was given this last year that tony who endowed at burgen and henceforth broke his arm, had surgery on it, repaired. So he is the proud recipient of this Barbie endow award for this year. Male1: Alright I’m here with Aaron Olsen one of the few, the proud, the strong American -- American cyclist racing over in Europe right now. And Aaron he just inked a contract with T-mobile. Congratulations, tell me a little about what your scenes are going to be like next year. Aaron Olsen: Well we met with T-mobile last week while about ten days ago and so It’s on for just a three day quick camp to meet everybody, get to know everyone’s name. We went over, reschedule with the directors for next year. So I have on paper I have a good idea what I'm doing about with injury or sickness, it can change fast but I got to come back and do all the best races In America. So I’m happy to do that with tour of California and tour of Georgia. And I'm trying to go back up to do the Giro again next year. If I get it this year, this is such a great race. Male1: Well tell me about what you’re selling here today. Aaron Olsen: Kim and I have all kinds of stuff, she’s got all kind of stuff from T- mobile, I have stuff from totally beat up from the last couple years and this year from Sony Duvall so, we just have like four or five 1 dapple bags full of stuff. We had been towing around in Americans. Male1: Moving pretty good? Aaron Olsen: It’s moving really good. We’ve been getting it all kind of stuff. The bling bling shoes haven’t gone yet. Male1: Look at the sweet libarachi blings. Aaron Olsen: They get a lot of press but just you got to find the person with the right size so. Male: Well our 75 dollars in their pocket. I got three. I’ll give you three bucks. Aaron Olsen: Three sounds good. Male1: It’s working all over VeloSwap today with three dollars. Right on Aaron I appreciate it, good luck. Aaron Olsen: Take it easy. Male1: We’re here with Josh over here at VeloSwap 2006 and Josh is selling some used chains. Look at this thing, it’s pretty greedy, pretty grainy and pretty disgusting. Josh what are you asking for this thing today? Josh: Five dollars. Male1: Five dollars? I tell you what, I got 85 cents. Josh: Come back later. Male1: Five dollars for now are you serious? What are all you’re selling today Josh? Josh: I got Dura Ace chain, eastern Easton Tempest wheel set over here, some WCS components. Male1: So Josh what are you -- what’s your thoughts when like its VeloSwap, there’s people coming up to your booth all the time and they’re touching your stuff and they’re like messing it around and like -- you got irritated? Josh: I am, I have to kick them out of my area. Male: Are you about to kick me out of your area? Josh: You got to go Friend. Male: Alright Josh is getting pissed. Alright we are here with Abby and Ariel, two mountain bike pros on the Maverick team. And your guys are cleaning out your garage day, what’s going on? Ariel: Hey, we’re just bringing all our old stuff down here. Some of it is new stuff and just cleaning out the garage, the stuff you don’t need anymore. Good people seem to deals on bike stuff. Male1: Abby what are you selling? Abby: Well I’m selling a bike and some parts and random stuff. We got all kinds of stuff, tires, what do you need? Male2: I need a used chammy. Abby: I got one of those. Male1: Yeah? Three dollars? Abby: Yup, three dollars. Use chammy. Male1: So, used chammy at VeloSwap alright. I come every year not for selling or buying but to social aspect. I really know my friends here. Film this. I want people to want this. Limited edition, troily himself painted this before he got ill and died. Give it up for 4:12 hill. Male1: Well all those tech nerds are out there drooling over the next light weight strong carbon ride, I found my new bike. It’s the Shine premise from 1984 I’d say. This piece is heavy but we’ll get the job done. Let's keep going. Alright we’re here at VeloSwap with Ian. Ian what are you doing right now? Ian: I’m trying to get money so I can but this bike. It’s a great deal I can't pass up. Male1: It is true and what a paint job. Wow, all the girls are going to love you on this bike Ian. Ian: Yeah it’s going to be a ridiculous bike. Male1: So now look at this line for the ATM, a lot of people are like Ian they showed up, my nose they cash in, what were you thinking man? Are you trying to like write checks or give these people credit cards? Ian: Yeah. It wasn’t thinking at all. I’m just hoping there’ll be an ATM I guess. Male1: No one had the credit card swipe for this big hass?. Ian: No. Male1: Well that’s cool, maybe next year Ian but enjoy this thing. I really like that they go yellow. Ian: Cool thanks. Male1: So you guys are here at VeloSwap signing autographs. You showed a little late there, what was up with that? What was going on last night? Heather: well the red carpet, they’re having a hard time giving it up all so they asked us to come later. Male1: Yeah after they did your big photo shoot and like the whole spread and -- Heather: Yeah and I had to wash my hair with avian this morning so it took a while to screw all the bottles tops off. Male1: Perfect, alright Heather, write something nice down there. Male2: I’ve been coming to VeloSwap for a long time. I’ve been both sides of the table so my idea that I think I got a pitch is we need to doesn’t come in here with like 200 bucks or whatever and you have to piece together, the most jalopy bike you can out of finding whatever parts you can out there and then put it together and then race it around. And have everyone do this, I think you come up with some free food creation I think.
