Sunless Tanning Products Audra Lowe: As the weather gets warmer, we’re all starting to try to work on that tan. That’s the time that we’re going to do it. Better’s beauty expert Jennifer Walsh is here. She’s got the best products to help you get that golden tan without damaging your skin. Jennifer Walsh: Most important part, right. Good to see you. Audra Lowe: Good to see you too. Jennifer Walsh: You don’t want to damage your skin. Audra Lowe: No because then that defeats the whole purpose. But I'm noticing the products are getting—they seem like they’re getting more effective and less expensive, right? Jennifer Walsh: I love it. I just love the fact that these — come here listening to their customers saying, “We want this, we want that we need sun screen or we need just different ingredients” And fantastic. Audra Lowe: And nobody wants the same exact thing — I don’t want to deep here. Jennifer Walsh: Absolutely, you’re so right. I’m so glad you just said that because that’s exactly—that’s why I brought all these products because they’re all little bit different. And they come depending on your skin type, how old you are, what kind of color on you want. It’s got a little bit of everything. Audra Lowe: And these — well, the first product that you have is great because it’s good for all skin tones, right? Jennifer Walsh: Yes, exactly and I love — well Clarins is wonderful. The liquid bronze is wonderful for the face and the Décolleté. And as I said, when people are looking for products for any kind of tanning or someone else tanning, make sure you’re looking for the right price. So this is just for face and Décolleté. You might want to do something else for the body and that’s where they have this wonderful mousse with an SPF 15 which I'm so glad they made that. Audra Lowe: A mousse for the body. Jennifer Walsh: Mousse for the body. Audra Lowe: Okay. Jennifer Walsh: And it looks literally like a whip cream. It’s fantastic and it’s brand new as well so you can put that on. You have an SPF 15 which is great because you want some cover as well and you want also to make sure you’re protected from the sun. Audra Lowe: And it’s at $32.00. Not a bad price. Jennifer Walsh: Not bad at all. Audra Lowe: And if you want to get a darker tan with this one, you can keep putting it on. Jennifer Walsh: So — and that’s pretty much with everything. If you want a little bit darker like let’s say in two or three days, put it on again. Try again. Audra Lowe: Okay. Got it. Now we’re going to go the next product here and this one, when do start seeing results with this Jennifer Walsh: Oh, my gosh, Jergens Express, within 24 hours. Audra Lowe: What? Jennifer Walsh: Within 24 hours you’re going to see more color. Audra Lowe: Okay and it’s— Jennifer Walsh: And it’s great because I mean these old people love Jergens. They just love the revolutionary ingredient in it and they’re a proprietary blend. And basically the Express has come out with different shades and you can see results with 24 hours. And again, if you want— Audra Lowe: If you use it everyday though and then what? Jennifer Walsh: You can go see gradually let’s say within shades in a week so yeah, you can see the effect. Audra Lowe: Okay, perfect. This is interesting though the Dior Bronze because it really has something to do with your pH balance. Everyone’s— Jennifer Walsh: Yes. And it puts like a glow to your skin. So some people, they want color but they also like a little bit of a glow. They want like the healthy glow and they’re—again they have it for the face and also for the body. So look to see what you want. If you want something for the body, only use one of these. If you want just for the face, do that for the face. But yeah, Dior is wonderful. Audra Lowe: And how much for this product here? Jennifer Walsh: They’re I think around $33, $2.25 and $35 Audra Lowe: And just to mention on this one here, a lot less expensive about $8.99 okay, not bad. Also with a great price point too, this last one. You have fun with this one. Jennifer Walsh: I love this one because I've used it plenty of time and it’s really fun, the Jiffy Tan from Benefit. And this is fun for those that don’t want to commit to a natural summer’s tan. Audra Lowe: Okay. Jennifer Walsh: So, I want a little lit color from shorts or like a skirt or something but they want to wash it off and like people when they talk to you but they say, “Whoa, it’s so dark, it’s really dark.” Audra Lowe: Can I pull this one out here? Jennifer Walsh: Oh yeah, please, yeah go ahead and open. You can see how dark it is. Audra Lowe: Oh yeah, it is dark. Jennifer Walsh: Yeah it’s really dark. But the best thing you can do is mix it with a body lotion. Yeah, you can put it on. It’s not going to sting your skin. It’s not going to— Audra Lowe: It’s Audra tan color—and you keep on rubbing it in. Jennifer Walsh: Yeah, rub it in. Go ahead and add it to a body lotion. But again, I can even put some of that to myself and is starts to really blending in. And again, it’s not going to be a big commit thing. You don’t have to last very long. Wash off with soap and water. Audra Lowe: Yeah, you can make a whole lot to each of these things to this. Good to have you back Jen, thank you so much. Jennifer Walsh: Thank you, thanks.
