Smart Eco Beauty Alternatives to your Favorite Cosmetics Hi! It’s Zelana. It seems these days that beauty brands are all becoming eco friendly, which is a good thing. I’ve been using eco products for years and it’s part of my job to really do my research on them. So today, I’m going to talk about a few I really like. Aerie Botanicals is American Eagle’s first foray into skin care. And you’ve think, “What does a clothing company know about skin care?” But they actually know quite a bit. This is a great product. It’s a body butter, not a lotion. So, it will come out a lot thicker and it’s really great for severely dry and chapped skin. So, those rough patches on your knees or your elbows. It has an herb called Gotu Kola and that which is specifically good for nourishing the skin. It has an apple blossom cucumber scent, which I’m personally not in love with but scent that is seductive, you might really like it. Well, some of us don’t think of teeth as part of our beauty regimen, but they certainly are. And this is a great natural toothpaste choice. It’s Burt’s Bees. It has fluoride and it is whitening. And it has cranberry extract. We all know that’s great for fighting infections. So, the same principles apply here. The cranberry fights the bacteria that causes plaque. It has a peppermint flavor that’s very gentle. So, if you’re looking for that really minty punch, I would say supplement with a mouthwash after using this product. But this is a great one and it’s my personal favorite. Josie Maran’s Argan Oil Hair Serum is a great anti first treatment. For me, it created instant shine in my hair without weighing it down, which I really liked. It left a little of a residue on my hand but I just washed it off after so it was no big deal. I really like the sense. It smells like fruit oil as almost but it’s very gentle. So, I would go to sleep with it and it would actually smell really nice. It wasn’t overpowering at all. And wake up in the morning with healthier shinier hair. It feels great! Great products, I highly recommend it. There are ton of eco-friendy products on the market.
