Red Carpet Talk with Celebrities in the FiFi Fragrance Awards Rhiannon: They’re considered the Oscars of the Fragrance world. The 38th annual Fifi Awards were held in New York City where everyone was smelling sweet. Lauren was on the red carpet to talk to these years honorees. Lauren: You are looking hot. Whose dress is that? Kim Karsdashian: I’m wearing is that Lebanese designer who’s really popular right now, Zuhair Murad. Lauren: Look at this, get this dress. It’s really sexy. Kim Karsdashian: Thank you. Lauren: Why do you think fragrance is so important to women? Kim Karsdashian: Because you want to feel sexy, you want to smell good. You want to look good and if you smell I mean, come on, who doesn’t want to smell good. I think all women need it. Saffron Burrows: What are you wearing? Lauren: You know what, just my own Lauren aroma. What are you wearing tonight at the Fifi Award? Saffron Burrows: Stella McCartney. Lauren: Good choice. It’s like the fragrance Oscars Tinsley Mortimer: It is, it is the fragrance Oscars, no and I’ll say these French words so, I’m a little bit nervous to pronounce them but hopefully I can do it okay. Lauren: So what are we doing here tonight? You’re up for some major, big lifetime achievement like Oscar award almost. Michael Kors: Well you know, I’m feeling a little Kirk Douglas like this week. We have the hall of fame tonight, CFDA lifetime achievement on Monday night. So to be acknowledged by your peers, it is truly, it sounds cliché but it’s unbelievably exciting. Really your signature is your scent and you know what it’s a rush of memory for all of us. We can remember people we dated, broke up with, our moms, you know, food, everything. Scent is really a powerful thing. Lauren: What are you cooking up tonight sister? Gail Simmons: Good question. I’m not cooking tonight. I’m not even judging tonight, I’m just presenting which is really nice. Usher: This is an honorable moment you know, to be recognized for something outside of music that is created equally as creative. Lauren: You sniff out everything that goes out under your name? Usher: Absolutely; I mean, Coach is what makes an incredible scent. You know to be able to travel all around the world and collect the essence of life and then bring those things back into what you’re obviously preparing for your consumer is what is ultimately about. Lauren: So what are we doing here tonight? Leelee Sobieski: I love perfume actually. Even when I do different roles, I’m always using different scents to help me get into different characters but I’m just presenting because they asked me. Lauren: What fragrance would you be wearing tonight honey? Randy Jackson: I’m wearing a Randy Jackson original. Lauren: You’re all about Randy Jackson. What’s going on, on Idol, I hear you’re looking for a new judge? Randy Jackson: Yes, you want to do it? Lauren: Would I be up for that? Yes I feel like you suck, you suck. What’s your favorite fragrance? Sophia Vergara: My favorite fragrance, well I use Hermes a lot, all these males of Hermes and I like also Middle East oils. Lauren: Your show is so hot. What is it that everyone loves about Modern Family? Sophia Vergara: I think it’s a combination of many things you know, the writers are amazing, and the casting was great. We have so much chemistry and you know we’re lucky. Rhiannon Ally: This year’s big winner in the women’s lux category was Lola by Marc Jacobs and for men it was Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver. Now I personally love Lola.
