Oscars Makeup: Get the Look with Celebrity Artist Kendra Richards Zelana: Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sandra Bullock and Vera Farmiga all arriving in style with raspberry colored lips at the 2010 Academy Awards. I’m here with Kendra Richards, celebrity makeup artist. She’s worked with such stars as Ali Martell, Katie Cassidy, Hillary Duff, only to name a few who was going to show how to get this fresh Red Carpet look. Kendra: Step one is, apply the lip liner that matches the lipstick color. And if you need to make any little bit of correction if your lips is little uneven on one side, this is a perfect way to even out your lip line. I like to hold your lip taut like this just to blend out that line. Step two is to fill in the lip with the lip liner and you fill completely into the lip area with the liner to help maintain the color longer and to really give a good base. So, then when it starts to wear off as well it will always have that great color. Step three is, filling the lipstick with a brush which helped really get the best coverage and really give you the most precision in the application. That’s perfect. So, there you go. These three steps will get you that modern fresh raspberry lip. Zelana: Now that you know how to get the perfect raspberry tip for your lips you’re ready to take on in the Red Carpet. I’m Zelana. Thanks for watching BellaTV. Stay beautiful.
