Olivia Palermo on Her Jewelry Collection with Roberta Freymann Hi, I'm Olivia Palermo and you’re here to watch in here all about my new collaboration with Roberta Freymann. The collection came about when Roberta took note that I started wearing more and more of her necklaces and actually how I've got introduced to her collection was through my mother. She had given me few necklaces as birthday and Christmas presents. So when she asks me to do a part of that I was thrilled because I'm just a supporter. Roberta’s whole process of design is actually quite interesting because she gets all of her beads in India. So she has contacts that are out in the market since they’ll get a bunch of beards and send it back to New York, and then we both sit there and approve the beads. And then sometimes we approve of them and then we sent them back and they’re not there. So we’re always trying to find new beads and making sure everything was perfect. We’ve been working on these for about a year. Originally we’re going to shoot first for spring and then as we started designing the beads we’re more for like a pre-fall or fall collection so we just pushed it more towards pre-fall. So, that’s why it’s kind of taking so long for me to start the whole design process. It’s definitely interesting for me come and looking at it from a very different perspective, and seeing how she designs her collections. I'm wearing one of the necklaces from the spring line and what really worked for Roberta and I, we both travel a lot and we both get inspired throughout our travels. And for her that’s for me in part of each collection whether it’s for her clothing or jewelry. Within designing this collection it was really important to make sure that price points stayed to minimum, you know, especially with the economy people are definitely more reserved on their spending. And I want girls to go out and buy the necklaces because I enjoy them so I want others to enjoy them as well.
