Interview with Winter Gloves Veronica: it recognizes one of the best new groups of 2008 Winter Gloves continues to rule. Hi, I’m Veronica of WatchMojo.com and today we’re speaking with this electro pop quartet. So guys before we begin, can you guys introduce yourselves and tell us what you do in the event? Patrick: Well this guy, well this guy here his name is Charles. He’s the singer of the band and I’m Patrick, the drummer of the band. Vince: I’m Vince, the bass synth. Charles: I’m Charles. I play the guitar and synth. Veronica: So you guys have a distinct sound, electro, pop, rock and can you tell us about a little bit more about that? Charles: It’s always so hard to answer that question but I mean we love keyboards so it’s dance pop. I don’t like indie rock because it’s a lot around the synthesizers. Yeah we love pop music. We love dance music, so it sounds like what do you think? Patrick: I call it Glock Rock because if you like the glockers spill a little too much do you think. Veronica: Speaking of song writing, what is your inspiration? Charles: We did like the first AP like right after I came back from England I have the band called Lady Gray and we played a lot of guitar songs. When I got back to Montreal, I decided okay I’m going to right on the key boards to find like different sounds and this is how it started. I just full a couple of songs call my friend Vince and we mix that all together. It came to a bar girl after a while and all those songs are about the city, about the girl, about like moving in a big city and like all the seduction and the set that happens in big cities. Veronica: And you guys are named Winter Gloves. Does that have any thing you do with being based on the Montreal? Patrick: You kind of nail it like winter fields like it’s eight months out of the year. A lot of fans were saying like they find the music warm and fuzzy and cozy and happy and we put any winter gloves is kind of how it feels so that is kind of all the color sorts that. Veronica: Good luck guys and thanks. Winter Glass: Thanks, thanks a lot.
