Hey how are you doing? It’s Jack Scalfani and I’m ready to do another experiment with another food product. This is one that I heard about from Michelin Katie Texas. You guys have probably seen it in catalogues. It’s called the Instant Marinater, and it’s supposed to marinate instead of like marinating overnight, you’re going to marinate within a few minutes. And the way this thing works is by vacuum. They say if you vacuum seal something, that it opens up the pores of the meat and then the marinate can get in a lot easier. And it says that it will do it in minutes. So what we’re going to do is we can do an experiment with chicken. Ok, so I have five chicken pieces in here. I’ve got five chicken pieces in there. We’re just going to pour some of my favorite teriyaki marinate sauce. We’ll put some in here too. That looks good. Alright and thank God for aprons. Ok, now when you seal the zip lock bag, always zip it almost all the way. Push out the last of the air. Make sure you get a little opening here. Get all that air out and then zip it to the rest of the way. This is the part that I just learned how to do. You’re going to snap this down. Yeah that’s good. Ok, snap that down. You place this right on top. And it says if it’s full, you’re going to do about 25 times so we’re just going to… 21, 22, 23, 24, 25. Alright so once again, 30 minutes, they’re both marinating, we’re going to see this better than this. And we’re going to crack that open. Take a look. And I don’t know if you could see that, ok, can you see that? Yeah it’s been marinating so we’re going to find out if it’s any good. Mainly we’re going to find out if it’s any better than this way which I like to do. Alright, let’s put them in. This is the one that was in the machine. This is the one that was in the zip lock. We’ll see you back in a few minutes. Ok so here is the chicken that was done in the Instant Marinater. Here is the chicken that was done in the zip lock. And we’re going to do a little taste test. This one I made sure the skin was up on that Instant Marinater one. And let’s take this, the skin is down on this one so that I can identify the thing once it came out in the oven. Now I’m going to go in a little bit to make sure. I’m looking for something that shows that there’s flavor in the inside. So I’m going to take a piece from the inside here. Oh these microphones they can pick up all the salivating I’m doing. Mmmm. Ok, that’s the Instant Marinater and my i-phone just went off. Mmm, ok that’s the Instant Marinater, the chicken is good but I’m not tasting any of flavor so I’m not tasting any inside the meat. That doesn’t mean anything. What really will rock is if we completely disapprove in this product by tasting the meat of this one on the inside. Oh the chicken cooked beautifully. Let’s see if we have any flavor in here. With more flavor literally in the one that has a zip lock than the ones on this. Mmm little hot but, so literally when I zip locked it, way more flavor than in here. I don’t know why but this is 30 dollars and zip lock’s like what, a penny? So I recommend not getting this and I’m not going to give you the website that I got it because from our test here, and it’s pretty good test, you saw it.
