Hi, there and welcome to another one of my easy to play lessons. I hope you got to my website www.mrmusiccanada.com. I got some wonderful lessons over there. Today, I am going to show you how to play song done by Harry Neilson and it is also done by Mariah Carrey and I think Air Supply did it, it is called “Without You”. I am going to do it at the key of F. I have got pretty simplified it here for you, so I will go to the first part and we will break down, I will show you how to do it, okay. [Demo] Okay, let us go through to that part first. Okay, we are going to start with our right hand, okay. Let me just start it up with A note here, okay. [Demo] Let me do that part twice, okay. Then it goes. [Demo] Then down to the B flat. Okay, so let us go do that again, okay. And hum at yourself or sing it out loud and it will help you remember where you are. Okay, we are starting with the A here. [Demo] Do it again. [Demo] Okay. [Demo] B flat. [Demo] Okay, let us put some left hand with that now. Okay, first what we are going to do an F chord. Okay, so just find your F and every second note out from that, your Brad spread, an F chord. Okay, then the second chord we are going to play, we will just going to drop our little finger down one, okay. So we are going to go over here. Okay, now we are going to go down to a G minor and we are going to play it this way. Okay, use your fingers, the most comfortable for you. We are going to play the D, and G and the D flat. Okay, with those three together, they are going to give you the G minor chord. Okay, it is too hard to see those fingers there but it goes down three notes. Now, we are going to go down to an A, okay. And we are going to play this black note here. Press your E and you’re a. That is going to be your A chord, okay. It is the same as A chord up here but we are going to move it down here, okay. So let us go to the F first. [Demo] And we will drop to pinky for the second time. [Demo] And we will go to that G minor. [Demo] And your A. [Demo] Okay, let us go do that again, okay. And once you have learned the chords, you can do the notes individually or however you would like do it. You play it by ears, so there should be rules. At this part, I want to show you the straight chord like that, okay. Here we go. [Demo] Move your pinky down. [Demo] Your G minor. [Demo] And you’re A. [Demo] Okay, we are going to do it one more time. [Demo] Okay, that is the first part. Okay, then we will begin to the second half of the verse. [Demo] Okay, threes of apart, we will start withy the A. We will do that with out right hand first. Okay, hum at yourself. [Demo] Okay, so let us do that again starting with the A note here, okay. [Demo] Okay, let us put some left hand, we are going to start up with a D minor, okay. And we are going to go to a B flat, okay so and you use your F and your D there and the B flat back up in the middle right here, okay. B flat, then we are going to do an F and down on a C7. Okay, so that is your C chord there, okay and we have that B flat note again to make that a C7. Okay, when you are adding a next to note right that, it is to give it a little extra nice sound to it. So, okay so. Let us start with the D minor. [Demo] And B flat, down to your F, and your C7. Okay, let us do that again, D minor. [Demo] Up to your B flat., [Demo] And F. [Demo] And your C7 [Demo] Okay that is the second half of the verse. Okay, so before we are moving on to the course let us do a review of the verse, okay, and F chord. [Demo] Okay, so that is the whole verse. Good luck with that and now I will move on the second and we will do the chorus.
