How to Get Kimora Lee Simmons' Hair Style Danielle Caputo: Hi! I’m Danielle Caputo celebrity hairstylist. I also worked with Kimora Lee Simmons’ and today I’m going to show you how to freshen up your hair for a nice day look. Alexi’s hair is very true Kimora’s own curl. So we have a nice tight curl and sometimes you don’t feel too done, so I’m going to show you a way to make a little more defined than done. So, I’m going to start by sectioning the hair and what I’m going to do is I’m going to go over her curly hair with the curling iron. A lot of girls think that they need to blow dry their hair straight first and then use the curling the iron and that’s so false because why straighten the hair if you’re just going to curl it up again. So I’m going to start with the ends of the hair. I’m going to take a little bit of pomade. Got to work it through and then we’re going to work my way up. You can also use a wide tooth comb to comb the product through the hair and then we’re going to take a curling iron and then we’re going to start right up of the roots, hold the hair straight out. Going with the curling iron but when you go in, you’re not just wrapping the hair around the curling iron. You actually twisting the hair and then wrapping it. So I’m twisting it and wrapping it, twisting it, wrapping it, twisting it wrapping it, I’m going to hold it for a second. I’m doing this quickly because I don’t want the heat to stay in the heft too long. Kimora does not like using a lot of heat on her hair, and squeeze that in. Now, once that’s done you have a bunch of curls but now I like to fluff it up in the roots with my hands. Kimora definitely does not like frizzy hair so product is the key to keeping the frizz out of the curls. Kimora definitely likes me to do this to her hair when she’s traveling or when she needs volume and long job throughout the day.
