Eve Pearl: Hi! I’m Eve Pearl. I’m a five-time Emmy Award Winning makeup artist and I’ve been doing makeup for 18 years. Also I’m a makeup wearer, user because I’ve been through problems myself and the women I work with from acne, to rosacea, to oily skin, to problem skin, to sensitive skin, wrinkles, droopy, unevenness. Please, I got to stop. So, not being able to find things in the industry, I created my own. I’ve now created the first brand of cosmo-nutrients. It’s cosmetics infused with nutrients. It’s called Eve Pearl and these are products that I created myself, nothing is private labeled. Everything was designed, mixed, produced by myself with scientists, chemists, doctors to make sure that this line of cosmo-nutrients not only makes you look good, it makes you feel good and it’s actually good for you. So we’re going to start out and I’m going to show you my processes. My goal is not only give a makeover to someone so they could feel good for one day. It’s to help teach you how to do your own makeover so you can feel good everyday. Here we have Tracy. Hi Tracy, thank you. Tracy: Hi! Eve. Thank you. Eve Pearl: When I look at Tracy, I see a beautiful young woman but Tracy like the rest of us when we look in the mirror, what do we see? What do you see when you look in the mirror? Tracy: I see my oily T zone but I also see the dry skin so I have dry and oil skin at the same time. My cheeks, my chin, my forehead are constantly peeling but also oily at the same time. And I’d love to learn how to apply make up so that it doesn’t look heavy but it looks natural. Eve Pearl: That’s a great word right there. Natural, women always think that makeup means that we have to look made up to look cagy, to look dry, and to look old. That’s not what’s it’s all about. We’re here to show you how to put makeup on to just feel better to have it look natural and to have your inner beauty come out and the flaws that you have, that you feel, we’re going to take care of. All right. With any makeup application, it’s a good idea to start with a moisturizer and a primer. But who’s got time for two steps? That’s why I created a priming moisturizer. It’s my own Eve Pearl Priming Moisturizer, a combination. If you’re doing it all yourself, you need a little dab about the size of your pinky to cover you entire face. But since I’m going to it to somebody else, I’m going to put a little dab right here and use the sponge to apply it to Tracy’s face. Now, regardless whether your face is dry or oily, you always want to moisturize. And of course, the priming part of the priming moisturizer will help your foundation not only go on smoother but lasts all day long and also be a shield and a barrier for the outside free radicals and the elements. As I’m looking at Tracy, I realize that her brows have a little bit hairs all around that I want to trim but I don’t want to do it with the tweezers because that is going to cause her face to get rashy and get little bumpy. This is especially true if you’re doing photo shoots. It’s a day of your wedding or something special occasion, eyebrow razor. This is a great one because it actually packs up and you could travel with it, take it with you. Alright, I love this one. Basically, what you do is you take your eyebrow, you hold it tilt and you basically just work the eyebrow razor all the way down and you clean up any stray hairs that you have. And also if there are stray hairs on top, don’t be afraid to use the razor also on top, wherever you might need it. You take it, you clean it off with an antibacterial cream, if you’re using it on somebody else then you can do that. If your hair is a little bit rough or a little dry, you can use your priming moisturizer around your eyebrows. Another good little trick, you can also use hair conditioner. Hair conditioner is great. It too softens up your hairs, not only for your eyebrows but also for your legs. So if you can’t find any shaving cream, use the hair conditioner. Since Tracy also suffers from oily skin, as do I and many of you might as well, I recommend using an anti-shine. Okay, so this is my anti-shine that I created. There are several varieties for color of anti-shine. There is a darker color for darker skin tone and lighter. So I’m going to put a little bit on the tray and if you look at it here, you use this if you have light to medium toned skin and this from medium to dark toned skin. There is a difference. I’ve tried many products. I’ve formulated this one to really work. Okay, you need a tiny drop. Half of what you see here. If you notice, I’m going to take a sponge. You can also use your fingers. I’m going to take a very, very little bit and I’m going to apply it to only half of Tracy’s face just so you can see the difference of what it does to take away the shine. This is great for men who have shiny skin, shiny oily face that they want to get rid of without putting makeup on. This will get rid of the shine without them having any powders all over the face. It’s also great for teenagers who don’t need any make up and even you ladies that doesn’t want wearing makeup at all. Just put a little bit of anti-shine and walk out the door. And a great tip, if your scalp is really oily, you have oily hair, take a little bit in your fingertips and run it through the back of your hair and to your scalp and it will dry it up and that will save you one more day from having to wash your hair. Can you tell the difference from this one side to the other? And that’s what anti-shine does. It’s great on summer time too if you just want to take care of that oil. We’re going to finish off and do actually both sides. And you need like I said very, very little. And now we’ve taken care of it. Also don’t forget, sometimes people have oil around their eyelids, so put a little bit on your eyelid and you see that it dries it up completely. Okay. Now, we are going to continue. The biggest complain I hear from women is how do I find the right foundation for my skin tone? We all know we’ve got women that have dozens of foundations and nothing that matches their skin tone. This is the Eve Pearl Dual Foundation and Blush. I have it in four varieties. Each one has two foundations and one blush. It comes in light, medium, tan and dark. Here for Tracy, I have the light version. As you noticed, this is cream. This is what we call a cream applicator. The reason I use creams over the liquid foundations is because what you’re buying ladies and gentlemen is water. All those bottles that you buy, what you’re paying for is this much product and this much water. And what happens with water when it stays stagnant? It’s the first thing that grows bacteria. It smells, it separates, not the best thing for you. Creams last at least triple the amount of time as liquid foundations do, so when they say you’re buying a liquid foundation, hydrating make up, this is hydrate. This is hydrating make up, water. So when you want to hydrate, put some water all over you. So we’re going to hydrate as we’re going to take a sponge and water and we’re going to put water on our sponge. By placing water on a sponge, it’s going to turn any cream foundation into a liquid that can go on as creamy for full coverage or a sheer as you want it. We’re going to do this just to show you. Now, how many of us by the way have taken foundations and gone like this and but them on the back of or hands? Oh! Wow! Look, it matches the back of my hand perfectly. That means I should buy it. This is not how you match foundation to your face. You match foundation to your face by applying it to this area right here. So you will put it right down this little area and you want to make sure that your face and your neck will end up being the same color. It’s that we’re going to wet our sponge to cover up and to actually bring out the best. We’re going to put a little bit of the foundation. Do you see how this is covering up the redness that we don’t want but not covering up Tracy’s face. We’re going to take our wet sponge because she doesn’t need full coverage. I want to see her skin. I want the foundation to look like it does not exist, that Tracy merely has flawless looking skin.
