How to Apply Eye Shadow On behalf of TVLesson.com my name is Miriam Behar. I’m a licensed aesthetician, makeup artist and certified lash stylist in South Florida. In this clip, I'm going to show you how to apply eye shadow. So first, you’ll need to select the color that you want and then you can either use your base, your facial powder or a lighter shade to accent your brow bone. First you wanted to apply a primer. That’s going to help your shadow to stay in place longer without creasing. You can buy this from most major brands and then you just apply a tiny bit to your eye area, mostly in your crease and then smudge it outwards with your little finger, since that’s the finger that fits into that area of the best. And then, just blend upwards from your crease to your brow bone so that it's all even. Do the same thing with your other eye. Just blending and making sure it’s all even because if there’s any lumps, then the eye shadow is going to stick to those. So, you just want to make sure that everything is smooth so you’ll get a nice application. So, you see my eyelids are now primed and they're ready for the eye shadow. I've chosen a golden brown color with a little bit of shimmer to it and a flat eye shadow brush. And then you just want to pick up a little bit of the color. Tap it and remove the excess. You can actually see it coming off. And then just look back the way you did when you applied the eyeliner and just start from the outer corner, that’s where you want it to be the darkest in a little tapping motions and move inwards applying the color to the part of your lid and part of your crease at the same time. This is going to give you some depth in that area and some definition. And then you can actually sweep the brush back and forth once you’ve got the level of intensity that you want. Again, what most to the color on the outer part of your eye, we can blend it all over with your finger if you want. And then just check your work. We’re not going for something too dramatic right now, so that’s a good intensity. And then you want to take the lighter shade and just brush it a little bit higher up on your brow bone. And that’s how to apply eye shadow. On behalf of TVLesson.com this is Miriam Behar. Thanks for watching.
