Audra: Welcome back everybody. It is time for hot topics. Once again, my favorite person to talk out topics, we have here Jennifer Walsh, our beauty expert and I got a couple of things I need to ask you about. Jennifer: Sounds good. Audra: I am sure a lot of ladies out there want to know. This spring a lot of the brands are really just kind of keeping it real so to say. Bobby Browns kicked off a campaign about natural looking makeup and now take a look at this. This was on AOL stylist, Ulta has just released their March campaign and it features the before and after photos of models and they are trying to have that fresh with a natural look. Jennifer: Yes. She looks gorgeous I think before. Audra: Oh absolutely. Jennifer: And she really does, she has beautiful features. Audra: Yeah but is it easy for women to–and first of all obviously the look, that she has got the headband over here. Jennifer: She spray, she styled perfectly which is lovely but. Audra: It is hard for women to keep that natural look. Jennifer: The natural look is not that easy I mean it is a beautiful look and they are just kind of minimizing the harsh colors winter possibly but it is not an easy look. And you can do even something simple like with a tinted moisturizer. Audra: Right. Jennifer: Which is kind of it is not as heavy as a foundation but still is going to cup for a little bit of time in to it. Audra: A little bit of time. Jennifer: Little mascara, a little tinted moisturizer, maybe a little blush. Audra: I kind of like the fact that we are going back to the more natural look and not trying to put too much into it either but. Jennifer: It is actually for spring. Audra: Yeah. Jennifer: It is really nice. Audra: But you say it is tough to teach a woman how to do natural looks as it was. Jennifer: Especially when they are used to putting on a lot of make up so I have been working with them for 15 years about changing their look and sometimes they’re like, “Oh no, do not touch my heavy eyeliner.” So, that you got to break it down once in a while. Audra: But why do we love these before and after shots so much though? I do not care what it takes Jennifer: Just because of the change. “Oh it looks great. I am going to try that.” Audra: Yeah. Jennifer: Because yeah things just are changing. Audra: Well, would you want to try makeup if Courtney Love was giving you makeup tips. I love Courtney Love. Jennifer: I do, I do like her music. Audra: I really do like her. Jennifer: It is fun and different. Audra: Yeah, she is saying, ”Hey you know what, I am going to give you some advice.” Jennifer: So, is she going to do the natural look as well? I do not know, if she is going to work for I will tell you that natural look. Audra: Well, here is what she is doing, she put a five parts beauty tutorial on twitter. This is what they are saying. It is that she says you know what I am not trying to say I am this fabulous makeup artist but I just like experimenting and she does. Jennifer: Well, that sounds good and she definitely experiments. Audra: She does exactly. Jennifer: As long as she is not going out there and being paid to teach. Audra: No. And I love that Courtney that she has in there. She says I would come out like children’s finger painting and I am by no means a makeup artist. Jennifer: Oh that is good, that is fun and you are right she is a great artist, she is a great singer in that kind of sense. I think it will be fun and flirty. Audra: Right, something different. Well, she says that you can actually learn if you want to look, go on to her page if it is there. She is showing you how to master a drag eye. She is also giving product recommendations too so she is kind of. Jennifer: So, do the drag eye? Audra: Yes, so if you like Courtney Love’s look then you can go with it too. Jennifer: Why not? Why not? Audra: Now for the cosmetic allergies, because a lot of women are trying and experimenting with different makeups. Jennifer: Yes. Audra: And you do not realize until after you bought the product that you are allergic to it, they always say try it on your wrist. Jennifer: Yes. Audra: Is that the same skin that is going to be on your eye? Are you going to have the same reaction? Jennifer: Well, it’s just always you know because I used to own retail stores and I always when women were hesitant or were not really sure about skin allergies, I would say, well take the product home or take a little bit of that shadow, take some of the makeup, take some of the skin care. I always tell them to take at home and try it for a day or two. Audra: Okay. Jennifer: And see your skin reacts because you do not want to throw down 35 or 50 dollars or whatever it is even waste your money and say I am allergic. I do not know what I am allergic to but I am allergic to something in that product. Audra: It could be something in the product. Jennifer: Yes. Audra: It could be something obviously that you have allergic reactions to. Jennifer: Exactly. Audra: And then the makeup itself could damage you but you have told me that if you have a peanut allergy. Jennifer: Yes. Audra: When it comes to food. Jennifer: You have to be careful. Audra: That is also going to affect the makeup right? Jennifer: It absolutely and not even realized that they do have a peanut allergy and there is an ingredient for peanut oil or a peanut extract, you could break out. And most of you do not even think that the smallest little thing can really affect it. Audra: Never, never know. See we are learning something new here. Thanks so much Jen. Jennifer: You are welcome. Audra: I would love for you guys to send me a message on twitter. Let us know what you think about this and Courtney Love’s makeup tips as well. BTV host Audra, I am going to check it out. Jennifer: I know it should be fun. Audra: Alright, we will back.
