Fashion Tips for Men – Outerwear monkeysee.com See how the experts do it. David: Hi it’s David Boris from be Better Guys.com, A guy’s guide to getting a life. We’re talking about the fundamentals that every guy should have in his wardrobe and now we’re here to talk about outerwear. Outerwear matters guys, because obviously you got to stay dry and you got to stay warm but you want to look stylish. So every guy should have between three and four coats. Obviously it depends on where you live if you live in Minneapolis, you know you need more if you live in Miami you can get away with less. Two types of styles of coats that I’m going to discuss, one of them first is dressing your coat, an overcoat or top coat such as this which you would wear over a suit on a very nice date to a job interview etcetera. On rainy and snowy days, Brian is showing exactly what you need, this is a trench coat. You wear this, again, rainy and snowy. I have seen a lot of guys wear this in bright sunshine, no, that’s your bright sunshine. This is your rain and snow coat. But you can also have some casual coats, a leather coat if you want to look hip in your vein and your not a vegan, a parka for al those games and— a nice scarf and a lightweight coat that you can wear those 50 to 60 degree days that you get in spring and fall. But you need other things to go with your outerwear besides just your coat. For example, every guy needs to have a man size umbrella not those little touts that guys tend to put in their bags that don’t really cover you. It’s like putting a newspaper over your head, you’re still going to get wet. I’m talking about a full size on guard, Brian a full size umbrella with a wood handle and a tip you can use in a fight. Also in addition to that you want a good pair of gloves. Good pair of gloves not only keep your hands warm but they last for a long time. Look for leather on the outside, cashmere on the inside, good pair of gloves can set you back between $30 and $300 depending on how much you want to spend that’s up to you. Also think about hats, a lot of guys are wearing hats these days. They are making a strong come back. Brian plops on a summer hat, this a stingy Brim Fedora. You don’t wear it in winter fellows, this is summertime only. In the winter, a couple of options your obvious ski cap but you can also wear a Wool Fedora that looks good and a lot of guys are wearing driving caps these days, great look, I happen to like that a lot. Finally boots, you’ll know them if you need them depending on where you live. Next we’re going to talk about one of my favorites, underwear and socks.
