For users it promises a faster data speeds and for carriers it makes more efficient user spectrum Outdoor download speeds will be as fast as 37-1/2 megabytes per second and uploads up to 12-1/2 megabytes per second but in buildings that are fitted with LTE and equipment these speeds will be doubled. DoCoMo demonstrated the service in one such building. Streaming video and data speeds up to 56 megabytes per second were being realized. That’s about 10 times what’s possible on today’s 3G network. At launch the carrier will offer a USB modem from LG Electronics and express card modem from Fujitsu will be available from April both include to be G modems for use outside the LTE service area.
