Considerations in Facial Plastic Surgery Part 2/2 And that your story she said she came in for a two consultation prior to surgery. The first consultation is very important because that is the time that the physician and the patient get together and really figure out what the concerns are. What are the possibilities go over photographs that talk about different options and to talk about the risks. The second consultation is done typically just before the time in surgery and that is very important to re-go over the photos. To go over the specific of the surgery, talk about the risk and then also talk about what happened in the day of surgery. And what to expect afterwards, in the recovery room when you go home. Follow up visits that are the time to really hassle that out. When you look at a patient that comes in for plastic surgery, one key issue is “are they good candidate for plastic surgery.” Those people who are good candidates are someone who really can delineate their concerns or someone is doing it for self improvement or something specific. Someone who is not a good candidate would be someone that really can’t delineate what the concern about and they an alter motive or something. That puts them in a category where you say this person shouldn’t have plastic surgery until asses themselves better. With any surgery the time it takes to do the surgery can vary. And Nesser short story she had multiple procedures. So each of those procedures can be broken down into time slots, she had worked on her eyes, nose and cheeks. Typically that is not unusual you have multiple surgeries and one reason patients like to do that is because it saves money. It is less anesthesia and they can get it done at all at once. Typical surgery that she had can range anywhere from to two to five hours. Less to mention that after her procedure she went home and she really didn’t have a lot of bruising a lot of swelling but she was a little bit tender and that is after facial surgery – that is unusual. Typically you would have swelling for a few days. And each face lifts can be slightly different depending on the details that need to be corrected. And the more small procedures within that can cause more swelling more bruising. So it is unusual but it is great that she didn’t have that much swelling or bruising, now if you are sitting there and you have seen Nesser story and you are thinking about having a procedure for yourself. The most important thing I can emphasize enough is to find the right surgeon, to find a safe surgeon to find someone who can really deliver your outcome.
