Hollyscoop caught up with Ciara at the 11th Annual Maxim HOT 100 Party. She talked about her new single 'Ride' & her upcoming Album & Pre - Album Tour. Interview by Bridget Daly.

Bridget Daly: I hear you have a big single that is featuring Ludacris? Ciara: Yes. It’s called Ride. It was produced by Tricky and The Dream and it’s my first baby of my new album Basic Instinct and I'm so excited about it and the fans have been showing me so much support from the video, so I’m so excited about that too. Bridget Daly: That’s so exciting. So, when can we expect the video? Ciara: Oh, the video is actually out. Bridget Daly: Oh, it is? Ciara: Yeah. So I got to again say thank you to everybody for supporting it, I mean my video. I guess the second it came was like number one in iTunes and just rolling for week strong. So, thank you guys so much. It means a lot. Bridget Daly: So, you love doing collaborations. You’ve done it in the past, you’re doing it again. What is it about working with these guys that you love doing? Ciara: What I love about collaboration is that you get to kind of bring the creative world to different artist that you hope that people really love to see those two together but you get to kind of mesh the world and make something really different and to me, the more the merrier when you do collaborations. It’s all about trying to make the biggest event and the coolest event more than anything. So, I guess that’s something I like about collaborations and enjoy from it. Bridget Daly: And then what about the tour? Are you planning a tour this summer, this year? Ciara: I’m actually preparing right now for my pre-tour, a pre-album tour which is like where I go around to like about 28 or so different cities and I give them—for my new album and I perform some of my old records like Goodies and One, Two Step and my fans get to get like an exclusive tip or kind of bite on what is coming from my album. So, I’m excited about that. Bridget Daly: That’s so fine. So, when can we expect the actual tour to happen? Is that going to be like—fall? Ciara: I don’t know when the album comes out. I don’t have the dates for that. So, I don’t put a thing, any person to be wrong but yeah, for sure. Bridget Daly: And then when is the album come out? What the date? Ciara: I don’t have a date for that either but I have an idea and very soon, you’ll know. Bridget Daly: Maybe we’ll be dancing to you on this summer? Maybe? Ciara: Oh, for sure. You’ll be dancing for sure. I got something really exciting coming that’s cooking in the oven right now and I can't wait to share it. Bridget Daly: Oh, good. We’re so excited.
