Zelana: Christina Applegate has a beautiful braided up do the 2010 screen actor’s guild awards. I asked the very celebrity stylist who did her dazzling do, Campbell McAuley how to create this intricate look. So how did you create Christina’s look? Campbell: Basically Christina and I looked at her dress and it’s a beautiful baby blue kind of romantic sort of dress and then from that I got inspired to create this kind of really cool loose bond at the back. Here we go step one set the crown hair with rollers. From the parting, I take an inch section down the back and from that from another end section I take it to the forehead. Important thing next is not to brush it back but to brush it forward and now I’m going to put the Velcro roller in and I always start to put the Velcro roller in the middle, never at the end. So again I’m taking a square inch section at the back of the hair and I’m just going to roll another roller in just to really work the front end to the back. All I’m going to do is work sides back into a ponytail and basically what I’m going to do is to take out what I did in step one and work in to the ponytail at back of the hair. I’ve taken out the rollers and then I’ll just put it near the ponytail and I don’t really have to hide the pin, all I'm going to do is I just put the pin on it and then I’ll do the same stain with the front working that around over the ears and back into the ponytail. And basically this ponytail that have, I’m going to create a very loose unbrush hair braid. Zelana: So what’s like getting Christina pre event? Campbell: It’s so exciting, I love it because I’m dealing with the top stylist and make up artist working with her, and the atmosphere is electric. She is really excited and it’s just like such adrenaline. I just finished the braid and I’m just going to now loosely roll it around the core of the ponytail and just mold it. Then ones I got into right the shape that I like I start pinning at the end. So here we are step five and basically it’s as simple as step out of all, it putting the hair ornament into the back of this gorgeous little woven band to finish off this beautiful romantic look. Voila. Zelana: These looks absolutely stunning. Campbell: Thanks you sweet heart. Zelana: Thank you so much for coming in and sharing your celebrity secret with us. Campbell: It is such a pleasure. Zelana: Stay beautiful and see you next time on bellatv.
