Some of the biggest inspirations for me, both in my life, my personal life and also in my career are working with real women. I’m inspired by women. I have a love of beauty of all women, all races, all nationalities. I really don’t believe that there's a set standard of beauty and by me recognizing beauty and all types of women, I really find that it helps me develop make up. It helps me create looks because I really want to celebrate women as individuals. I decided I wanted to do a make up line so I found one company that shared a common interest and Sally Hansen was known in the industry for being just the leader in quality and when we came together, I shared their philosophy and they shared mine of creating beautiful makeup that was going to enhance women’s natural beauty using products that were filled with natural ingredients, botanicals and the greatest part was they let me run the show. I would say my favorite person to work with in the past was probably Isabela Roselini. I don’t like to talk celebrities that I’ve worked on because to me everyone—the definition of celebrity is to celebrate yourself and I think that everybody should do that. But in terms of inspirational woman, she's an older woman, she's a beautiful woman, she's a class act. Working with her made me realized that beauty just transcends age, time, place, cultures. She's really an amazing inspiration. Well, I think that all women need in their beauty arsenal everything to create the five-minute face. A little bit of liquid foundation that even out the skin tone, a little olive bright under the eyes to bounce a little light. Highlight which is the key to the Carmindy look which is highlighting the top of your cheek bones under the brows, inside the corner of the eyes, a little bit of eyeliner, mascara, cream blush and a lip color and that’s it. That’s everything that you need to create a fine woman of vogue.
