Audra Lowe: The miniskirt was a fun favorite with a lot of women but the maxi dresses is a different story. It was the must have for the end of summer and fall last year and celebs like Jessica Simpson, Miley Cyrus and Halley Berry are all sporting the Boho Chicks 70’s inspired look. But as I found out, there’s a few basic tricks to finding the right style for your figure at all price points. When it comes to the maxi dress in touch weekly magazine knows exactly what the celebrities are wearing and they’re showing other women that being maxed out, it’s a good thing. ` Okay so we’re here at Alison Livia here in Manhattan and I’m here with Amy Silverburg whose fashion writer for In Touch weekly. You know it all in terms of fashion. Amy Silverburg: Hi Aud. It’s so good to see you. Audra Lowe: You too and now we’re talking at the mini dress wasn’t everybody’s favorite. But the maxi really is. Amy Silverburg: It’s very true. If you’re a fun of showing your leg, this is your fashion solution. Audra Lowe: First up, a maxi for the tall ladies. Amy Silverburg: As you can see Dorie has been blest with height and so many celebrities like Charlize Theron and Heidi Klum have all been wearing the maxi dress look. Now if you’re tall, you’re lucky enough to pull off a pattern. Now this is a juicy couture vest and as you can see it has the paste print, put it with the flat like a gladiator shoe. These are from old maybe, they’re only $20.00. Audra Lowe: Now for the ladies with the little curves. This hombre Alison Livia dress retails for $300.00 and for some women, its worth to hide those hips and tights. Amy Silverburg: You can wear this shopping. You can wear this on a date. You can wear this to the office, you just put it little sweater over it. It’s a great style but other thing is it has nice clits which is extremely elongating. Audra Lowe: This is an area I know nothing about, the bustier women. Amy Silverburg: Well if you are a little bustier like Jessica Simpson for example, a maxi in a halter style like the one Robin is wearing is extremely, extremely flattering. What’s great about it, one it supports you. It helps fold you at. Audra Lowe: And for those expecting or not so expecting moms. We have to put the glamour out there. Her name is Brooke. She’s showing you the look for a pregnant mom but Brooke’s not really pregnant. Amy Silverburg: No, so if her mother’s out there watching— Audra Lowe: She didn’t do it wrong. Amy Silverburg: Don’t worry. Audra Lowe: She’s just modeling. But if you are pregnant this is a great look for you. Amy Silverburg: Definitely. This is a Gypsy 05 dress. Every celebrity who was pregnant and even celebrities who aren’t are wearing that. Audra Lowe: This Liza Climax has adjustable straps to accommodate your growing belly. Amy Silverburg: And again, you don’t have to be pregnant to wear it. But it’s just really accommodating if you are because of all the little adjustment you can do it. Audra Lowe: How far along are you Brooke?—Three months. And oh, the red carpet maxi. This one also by Alison Livia Amy Silverburg: Tons of celebrities are actually wearing a silhouette on the red carpet. Fergie, Alicia Keys, they are all wearing a style like this and what makes it so beautiful is that you are telling. You have the gorgeous crease again, the beautiful camel neck. Audra Lowe: One last bit of advice. Amy Silverburg: You know a maxi is something that’s not going to go out of style. So really take your time and find something that fits your body. This is a trend that’s kind of last forever in the fuller months. Throw it on with the blazer, throw it on the jean jacket or flop sweater like I did and you’re good to go. Audra Lowe: Amy also says that every woman should have a pair of assets. They’re made by the same creator of the spandex that every single women out they’re loves. Assets are so the target and they offer that extra help in disguising any bulges. She says that more celebrities are wearing them on the red carpet than you might ever imagine.
